Dems Keep Hold on Wisconsin: Battleground Status In Jeopardy?
President Barack Obama won re-election with a smaller percentage of the popoular vote than his first term, and retains his position, winning the popular vote over Mitt Romney by some 2 million votes. Results late last night poised Romney to win the popular vote, even though he called to concede the election to President Obama shortly after 10PM.

Tammy Baldwin retains her U.S. Senate seat, beating Tommy Thompson by nearly 200k votes.
Julie Lassa retained her State Senate seat with 48,378 votes, to Scott Noble’s 36,983.
Vruwink beats Vandermeer for 70th Assembly District by less than 200 votes.
Assembly District 71 goes to Katrina Shankland, who beat Patrick Testin by nearly 6k votes.
Assembly District 72 race remained very closed all night, but Justin Pluess losing to Scott Krug by less than 200 votes.
In noncontested races:
Louis Molepske Jr. becomes Portage County DA with 27,315 votes.
Shirley Simonis retains County Clerk seat with 27,830 votes.
Stephanie A. Stokes maintains her Portage County Treasurer seat with 27,529 votes.
Register of Deeds Cynthia Wisinksi receives 27,539 votes.
Portage County Surveyor Joseph Glodowski earns 27,319 votes.
