Local Veterans Day Events:

Episodes of the Stevens Point Veterans History Program will air Saturday on analog channel 95 and digitial channel 984 between 1:30 and 5:00 on Saturday.

Veterans Update also air Saturday at 8:30 A.M. Saturday, which brings news and information for veterans each week.

Saturday, November 10:

At 10 a.m, a ceremony will be at the Korean War Memorial, in Lake Pacawa. A second ceremony will follow at 11 a.m. at the Plover Veterans Memorial next to Roosevelt Elementary.  The events are hosted byPlover American Legion Post No. 543 and Plover Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10262.

Monday, November 12:

The Portage County program will be at 10:30 A.M. in the Pineries Room of the Portage County Libary. The event is being held by American Legion Post No. 6, AMVETS Post No. 1051, Disabled American Veterans Post No. 30, Central Wisconsin detachment of the Marine Corps League, John Paul Post No. 185 Polish Legion of American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America Post No. 115.

A rifle salute will follow outside the library at 11 A.M.

Another ceremony will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 12 in the Legacy Room of the Dreyfus Center.

The UWSP ROTC will take part in the ceremony.
