Turkey Problems This Thursday? There’s an App For That.
For the City-Times
Butterball is back for their 31st year of helping people cook that perfect bird with more digital help.
Butterball Turkey Talk-line director Mary Klingman says they’re offering an app this year for the iPhone and iPad. That’ll run you $4.99 and comes with how-to videos, food safety tips, and a menu planning checklist, all things that couldn’t really be offered through a traditional phone call to the helpline.
Klingman says helpful folks at the Talk-Line are also on hand to help you with other Thanksgiving food emergencies. “A lot of folks don’t do gravy very often so they get anxious about that. We’ll also get questions about other things like Chocolate Chip Cookies.”
Facebook chats, Pinterest board and other social media will also be available for cooks in need of assistance. Butterball says it expects to reach 1 million people through Christmas Eve.
You can get more info by calling up the hotline at 1-800-BUTTERBALL.
