Northside Kwik Trip Open

Northside Stevens Point has a new gas station. Well- sort of.
Kwik Trip recently made the move from it’s old location just next to the old Ramada Inn/Tilted Kilt building, relocating two blocks south on the corner of Division Street and Maria Drive.
Store leader Jim Lienlokken says the new site has safer, better access than the old site.
“There’s stop lights on both side streets, so there will be a lot easier access and leaving as well. We’ve got semi access now which we didn’t have before, so it should be great all the way around.”
The ease of access and closer proximity to other northside businesses will likely boost sales, Lienlokken said.
“We’re right next to the university, close to Pacelli, not too far away from SPASH, so we’re really looking forward to pizzas, pizzas, and more pizzas.”
Lienlokken says this new location also gave them room for something they didn’t have at the old location… a car wash.
Officials from Kwik Trip have also made plans for an additional store on the east side of Stevens Point, just off Highway 10 E on Old Hwy 18. It’s a move that has caused much ire amongst local residents, but has already been approved by the city. No word yet on when construction will begin.
Kwik Trip operates convenience stores in several states, and is based in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
