The National Weather Service has issues a Winter Storm Watch for Portage County & all surrounding areas. The storm is currently developing over the central plains and is expected to intensify as it nears the Great Lakes region by Thursday morning.
The weather advisory only means conditions are currently favoring a strong storm for our area, and these conditions could change. NWS officials are currently expecting Portage County to get 6-10 inches of snow and wind gusts of 20- 30 mph, causing “significant” blowing and drifting snow.
More updates as we get them.
