Senators Johnson, Baldwin Named to Committees
Wisconsin Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin have been named to committees dealing with budget, national security and small business.
Johnson has been a congressman since 2010. He is a fiscal conservative from Oshkosh who owns a plastics company.
Baldwin is a former lawyer and assemblywoman from Madison. She described herself as a “proud progressive”.
After being sworn in Thursday, Johnson and Baldwin were both appointed to the Senate Budget Committee and the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs.
Johnson was also named to foreign relations, small business and entrepreneurship, and the commerce, science and transportation committees.
