In a letter to fellow superintendents, district administrators and school board presidents across the state, Stevens Point Area Public School District Superintendent Attila Weninger posted an invitation for a discussion on the process of the student information system, as well as the merits of a single- vendor system.
Representatives from Skyward will also be on hand to provide information on the vendor- selection process.
According to Weninger, those invited will also, “participate in a Q&A, and to determine what steps, if any, we as a group, may consider if the current decision remains final.”
Weninger has said that both he and the district’s board have concerns over the process, the requirement of a single vendor system, the impact to the Central Wisconsin economy, and an estimated conversion expense of over $447,000 to an already tight school district budget.
The meeting will take place Friday, March 1 at 1 PM at Sentry World in Stevens Point.
