Possible Sales Tax Holidays on the Way
City-Times Staff
A pair of Wisconsin lawmakers are proposing sales tax holidays in August and November.
Representative Chad Weininger (Green Bay) and Senator Rick Gudex (Fond du Lac) are circulating a bill this week seeking co-sponsors of the measure that would waive sales taxes two weekends of the year.
The August sales tax holiday would apply various school- related items, computers and clothing in time for back to school shopping. The November sales tax exemption would apply to Energy Star products.
