CWSO Kicks off Spring Season
For the City-Times
Welcome spring with a concert honoring the life and work of naturalist Dr. Frances Hamerstrom.
The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra (CWSO) will premiere Enchanted Moonscape, a commission by local award-winning composer Dr. Charles Rochester Young inspired by Hamerstrom’s children’s book, Walk When the Moon is Full. Catalin Rotaru, former professor of double bass at UW-Stevens Point and now associate professor of double bass at Arizona State University, returns to perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major. The 64th season will be ushered out with the epic Symphony No. 4 by Tchaikovsky.
