Edna M. Kalpinski, 93, of Stevens Point, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1920, in Port Edwards, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kosmalski) Wisnieski. On Nov. 21, 1939, she was married to Ray Kalpinski at St. Peter Catholic Church. He died on May 6, 2009.

Following their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. Edna was a homemaker, dedicated to bringing up her six children. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society and loved flowers, fishing, reading, golfing and casinos.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Kalpinski of Stevens Point, and Donna (Wayne) Gajewski of Wausau; four sons, Raymond Jr. (Linda) of Wisconsin Rapids, and Robert (Sharon), James (Carol) and Richard (Marge) all of Stevens Point; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Further survived by two brothers, Jackie Wisnieski of Franklin, and Joe Wisnieski of Colorado; one sister-in-law, Adeline Wisnieski of Green Bay; and one brother-in-law, Burk Wolf of California.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time for Mass. The St. Peter’s Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, is assisting the family with arrangements. The family thanks North Crest Assisted Living for the good care that mother received from Teri, Lesa, Lori, Kelly, Tanya, Judy, Mary, Diane and Cassandra. Also, a thank-you to the ER Dept. and the 5th Floor nursing staff and doctors at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital for the wonderful care and comfort they gave mother.
