James “Jim” M. Blarek, 70
James “Jim” M. Blarek, age 70 of Plover, died early Sunday morning, May 12, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Jim was born May 13, 1942 in Wausau, WI. He was the son of the late Michael and Eleanor (Rozumialski) Blarek. He attended local schools. His marriage to Connie Mager took place on July 7, 1979 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. After their marriage the couple settled in Plover. His wife Connie survives. Jim worked at Joern’s Furniture for many years retiring in 1988. Jim enjoyed watching baseball and football, western movies and the weather. His passion was fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors.
He took joy in listening to Polka and Country music. He played a mean game of Checkers and loved working picture puzzles and rug hooking. He loved a good joke, and even had a few good ones of his own. His favorite candy was Life Savers, but to Jim he would call them Life Preservers. He truly enjoyed people and socializing, and had a smile that would light up a room. His laughter was music to the heart and you could not help but laugh along with him. Jim’s deepest passion was his love for his dog Dusty, as they were inseparable. He wasn’t just somebody, he was someone. He was a husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and godfather. But if you knew Jim you would call him a friend. A man that gave his heart and asked for nothing in return. He will be deeply missed but will never be forgotten. For on Sunday, the day God called you home, “hearts were broken”.
Jim is survived by his wife Connie of Plover. Three sons; August (Barbara) Stanislawski and Sylvester (Becky) Stanislawski both of Fort Worth, TX, and Raymond (Bobbi) Stanislawski of Mel pits, CA. Three daughters; Catherine Betro of Plainfield, WI, Carlotta (Joe) Janick of Birnamwood, WI, and Charlene Jahn of Cumberland, WI. Forty Grandchildren and thirty eight great grandchildren. Two brothers Kenneth Blarek of Stevens Point and Patrick (Carla) Bube of Wausau. Three sisters; Nancy (Ronald) Trzebiatowski of Rosholt, Debra Baker of Minnesota and Gail (Craig) Hoffman of Wausau. He was preceded in death by two grandsons and one brother.
