Three-day closure required for bridge deck pour

For the City-Times
Crews plan to close WIS 34 at the bridge over I-39 in Knowlton for three days beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 3. The closure is necessary for crews to pour the bridge deck and allow the concrete to cure. The bridge is expected to reopen at 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 6. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
During the closure motorists on WIS 34, who want to travel north on I39 will be detoured via southbound I-39 to the County DB interchange (Exit 171, Lake Du Bay).
Access to all of the WIS 34 interchange ramps will remain open. Motorists traveling south on I-39, who want to travel south on WIS 34 will not be impacted by the closure.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution as they approach the work zone. To avoid delays associated with the closure, motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time for travel.
