Portage County Sheriff’s Calls

Domestic abuse: 32 year- old Robert Jahn was arrested and charged with domestic abuse and disorderly conduct at a Crueger Street residence at 12:38 AM.

Suspicious activity in the backyard: A 35- year old Rosholt woman reported a possible trespasser in the backyard of her Grand Avenue West home at 1:37 AM.

Unhappy with the asking price: A 57 year-old woman reported real estate signs were being stolen from an undisclosed location at 4:11 PM. Estimated value of the loss was not reported.

Car v Train: A 57 year- old Plover man reportedly crashed into a train at the Monroe Street rail roach track crossing at 4:17 PM. No injuries were reported and the amount of damage is unknown.

June 27

Trespassing: A 56 year-old Bancroft man reported Stephanie L. Greske, 28 of Bancroft, was trespassing on his County Trunk JJ residents at 4:12 PM.

Jumping Bail: 35 year- old Stevens Point woman was arrested at 10:07 PM on charges of misdemeanor bail jumping and operating while revoked. Police reports indicate the woman’s license had been revoked because of problems with alcohol.

K-9 Request: Deputies requested a K9 unit perform an “exterior sniff” of a vehicle driven by Kristi Lynn Herman, 35 of Stevens Point. No drugs were found.

Busted after hours in the park: A 25 year-old Wausau man and a 19 year-old Wittenberg woman were warned for being in Sunset Lake Park after it had closed. The couple was found at 12:35 AM.
