Portage County Executive Patty Dreier appointed Cindy Piotrowski as the new Director of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC).
Piotrowski’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Portage County Board of Supervisors on August 20. Her salary will be $67,567.
Piotrowski currently serves as the Interim ADRC Director and had served in the Assistant Director role for more than four years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UW-Stevens Point with a double major in Communication and Psychology. Prior to working at the ADRC, she was the Executive Director at the Epilepsy Foundation of Central & Northeast Wisconsin for eight years. She also served as the Director of Operations for St. Vincent DePaul in Plover, WI. Piotrowski lives in Stevens Point with her husband, Paul.
“Our ADRC is known as one of the top centers in the state,” said Dreier.
“Under Cindy’s leadership, I believe that we will be well positioned to keep it that way. Following a national search and screen process, Cindy came out at the top. She is passionate and skilled in advocating beside and for people with developmental and physical disabilities. Her whole life has been committed to ensuring that people have every opportunity to live life as fully and as independently as possible—no matter what ability, age, or challenge. Cindy also has solid management, planning, and budgeting skills which will be critical in helping us move this very important mission forward.”
