Chester P. Hintz, 75
Chester P. Hintz, 75, of Bevent, died early Wednesday morning, July 31, 2013, at home.
He was born on May 11, 1938, in Marathon County, to the late Roman and Frances (Mozuch) Hintz. On Nov. 17, 1962, he was married to Elsie Kielpinski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church-Torun.
Chester owned and operated a dairy, veal and ginseng farm in the town of Bevent. He had also been employed by SNE Enterprises and Community Builders. He was a member of the Bevent Lions Club and the St. Ladislaus Men’s Society. His other interests included hunting, fishing, woodworking and bird watching and feeding. Chester enjoyed lending a hand to whomever asked.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie of Bevent; son, Earl (Kelly) Hintz of Rosholt; daughter, Doris (Thomas) Genovese of Baraboo; son, Ron (Tammy) Hintz of Rosholt; son, Darryl (fiancée Jenny Mayer) Hintz of Reedsburg; 8 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Regina Stencil, Lillian Kaminski, Selma Glodowski and Dorothy (Jim) Wachowiak.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his son LeRoy; brothers, Frank, Florian, Tony and Raymond (and infant brother, Stanley); and sisters, Winifred Mlodik, Anna Palbrach and Theresa Kulas.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time for Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 9:30 a.m.
