Wood County Police Officer Arrested for Child Enticement

A Wisconsin Rapids police officer has resigned amidst allegations of child exploitation and child enticement.
Lieutenant Steven D. Lowe is being held in the Wood County jail on a twenty thousand dollar cash bond.
The investigation is ongoing and a special prosecutor from Sauk County will be used for the case.
Charges of child enticement, child exploitation, and using a computer to facilitate a sex crime are expected to be filed against Lowe as early as today.
