Lawrence Piotrowski, age 86

flagLawrence Piotrowski, age 86 of Amherst Junction, passed away Friday Aug. 9, 2013 at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. 

He was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Portage County. He is the son of the late Frank & Catherine (Rzenkowski) Piotrowski.

Lawrence entered the US Army on Feb. 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He served as a Tech 5 and received the WWII Victory medal and the Army of Occupation medal. He was honorably discharged May 21, 1947 at Camp Stoneman, CA.

After the service Lawrence farmed in Amherst Junction until 1967 in which he moved to Milwaukee and worked there for 10 years.  He returned back to the farm in Amherst Junction in 1980.

He enjoyed hobby gardening in which he always shared the bounty with family and friends.  He also enjoyed going to farm auctions with his friends.

Survivors include three sisters: Jeanette Krueger of Stevens Point, Teckla Landowski of Hubertus & Margaret (Joe) Koskey of Menominee Falls.  One brother: Frank (Sandra) Piotrowski of Milwaukee.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his special friends Chester, Ray & Richard.  He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Loretta Praefke and 4 brothers: Edwin, Raymond, Ernest & Orville Piotrowski.

Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.  Rev. Jude Dioka Officiating.  Burial in the Parish cemetery.  Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services Saturday morning at the Church.  For on line condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
