Fire Crews Respond to Grill Fire

Stevens Point Fire crews responded to a Park Street fire Friday morning around 1:30 AM.
Officials from the SPFD say the caller reported visible flames, which generally triggers a response team of multiple fire trucks as well as EMS to the reported location.
By the time crews arrived on scene at the 1000 block of Park Street, it was discovered the flames had been coming from a Weber grill someone had left too close to a residence. The heat from the grill had begun to melt the siding on the house.
The flames were extinguished by the time crews arrived and no injuries were reported.
