Necedah Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Step Child

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced Friday that a Juneau County jury convicted Douglas Fischer, of Necedah, of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Incest with a Child by Stepparent and Exposing Genitals to a Child after a three-day trial. The case was heard before Juneau County Circuit Court Judge John P. Roemer.
First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child is a Class B Felony and carries a term of imprisonment not to exceed sixty (60) years. Incest with a Child by Stepparent is a Class C felony and carries a term of imprisonment not to exceed forty (40) years. Exposing Genitals to a Child is a Class I felony and carries a term of imprisonment not to exceed three (3) years and six (6) months.
Judge Roemer has ordered a presentence investigation and will now set the matter for sentencing.
