Plover Man Charged With Attemped Murder
By Donnelly Clare
Plover resident Jason Hyatt is facing attempted murder charges following a weekend incident which sent his girlfriend to the hospital.
Hyatt, 33, allegedly beat his girlfriend, a 31- year-old Plover woman, with a baseball bat, tied her up and tried to force her to swallow sleeping pills. Hyatt was allegedly angry because the woman returned home late from the bar.
The woman managed to escape and run to a neighbor’s home for help. She was treated for injuries at Ministry St. Michael’s and released.
Hyatt was arrested Sunday on pending charges of attempted first degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery, false imprisonment and intimidating a victim.
Hyatt will be formally charged during his initial appearance October 21.
