Family Friendly Hallowen Events Descend Upon Central Wisconsin

Central Wisconsin has plenty to offer families and young people this Halloween. Is our list incomplete? Tell us!

Trunk or Treat

Sun., Oct. 27, 4-6pm

Admission – one bag of candy per child

Location- Good News Fellowship Church, 801 County Road HH West

An alternative to trick-or- treating. Children will go from vehicle to vehicle, playing games, getting candy and having lots of fun! Don’t miss it! Please no scary costumes or witches, ghost, goblins, vampires, monsters, etc. If you are interested in decorating a trunk or have any questions – phone Jennifer Sosinski at 715-341-3275.

Altenburg’s Country Gardens

Admission- free

Market and fall festival activities daily through October 31.

Location- 7020 Plover Road/Hwy 54 E

Haunted corn maze

Trzebiatowski’s Farm and Corn Maze, 7580 Highway BB, Bancroft, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26.

18- plus acre corn maze, scavenger challenge, petting zoo, hayrides, pumpkin patch and more. A night maze also will be offered from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, with a haunted maze from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26.

Admission- $5, under 5 free. The night maze costs $7 per person/ $25 for a family, and the haunted maze costs $9.

The YMCA/ Boys & Girls Club Dungeon

Location- Boys & Girls Club Plover Unit, 2401 Cedar Drive, Plover.

When- 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26, and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 31, with a special family/ younger children showing each day from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission- $6 for 12 years and up, $4 for 11 and under. The special family showing is $12 per family.

Healthy Halloween Hoedown

The Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum, 1100 Main St., will host its ninth annual Healthy Halloween Hoedown from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 25.

Admission- $5 per person, infants free.

Trick-or-Treat at Heritage Park

The Portage County Historical Society will host Trick-or-Treat at Heritage Park from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 26.

No admission fee.

A bake sale at the Engford House also will be offered with baked goods and hot/cold beverages for sale.
