Robert “Uncle Bob” J. Gliszinski, 81
Robert “Uncle Bob” J. Gliszinski, age 81, of Rosholt, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Michael’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Milwaukee, Wis., January 10, 1932 to the late Frank Gliszinski and Dorothy (Eckendorf) Bergman. He attended school in Milwaukee, served in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1954.
He married Barbara Spycalla on October 6, 1956 in Milwaukee at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple resided in Milwaukee. Bob worked for Wisconsin Bell until his retirement in 1987. The couple moved to the Rosholt area shortly after retirement.
Bob and Barb were married for 51 years and had no children of their own but enjoyed many wonderful years with his brother Leonard’s children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews vacationing in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, hunting, trap shooting, fishing, playing cards, birthday
parties and sometimes reliving the “good old days.” He also had a passion for airplanes. Bob and Barb traveled the world in their younger days, later reliving the wonderful experiences of their travels.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara, parents, brother and sister-in-law, Leonard E. and Lillian Gliszinski, nephews, Leonard Jr. and Russell Gliszinski, and niece Jill B. Gliszinski.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Sacred Heart starting at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Barakeh and the nursing staff at the Intensive Care Unit at St. Michael’s Hospital, Father Dennis Lynch and Spiritual Services and especially Wally and Tommy Wiza for the excellent care they showed Uncle Bob for many years.
