Leo W. Kucharzak, 79, of the town of Linwood, died Thursday November 7, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital Marshfield. Leo was born on December 7, 1933 in Chicago Illinois. He was the son of the late Walter  & Anna (Szczypka) Kucharzak.

He attended schools in Chicago. His marriage to Catherine Annis took place on October 27, 1952, in Stevens Point. Catherine died on May 25, 2011.

Leo worked for Consolidated Papers Whiting Division, retiring after 36 years.

He enjoyed feeding birds and bird watching, reading pocket books, jigsaw puzzles, mushroom picking, flying kites and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his sons Kenneth (Sung) Kucharzak of Alaska and Martin (Tammy) Kucharzak of Stevens Point. Grandchildren; Chris (David) Drennon, Tracy (Jerry) Sanchez, Candice Kucharzak, Bradley (Danielle) Kucharzak and Brandon Kucharzak.

Great-Grandchildren; Kennedy Sanchez, Abigail Drennon & Olivia Grace Drennon, Regan Sanchez, Chili Sanchez and Easton Kucharzak. Two sisters, Mary Ann (Frank) Wieczorek of Rosholt and Barbara (Richard) Wieczorek of Rosholt. Sister-in-law, Diana Kucharzak of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Kucharzak.

The family would like to thank Meals on Wheels, for the friendships Leo made and for their wonderful services.

Leo’s wishes were to have no formal services. Burial will take place at the Linwood Union Cemetery.
