Milledine G. “Millie” Hojnacki, 82, of Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
She was born on March 19, 1931, in Stevens Point, to the late Anton and Victoria (Cisewski) Pionek. Her marriage to Edmund Hojnacki (a Purple Heart recipient) took place on Nov. 28, 1961. Edmund preceded her in death.
Millie owned and operated the Showboat Tavern in Junction City for many years and later worked at Del Monte in Plover. She enjoyed gambling, going to the South Point Restaurant and the chicken wings at Rusty’s Backwater Saloon.
Survivors include her sons, Jack (Carmen) Skarupinski of Puerto Rico, and Ted (Barb) Skaurpinski of Arizona; one brother and two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
