Power at Ministry Medical Restored

High winds this morning caused thousands in Stevens Point to lose power, with Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital among them.
“We lost power for about 45 minutes, but everything’s okay now,” said the hospital’s public relations representative Sarena Melotte.
Melotte said the hospital had determined the power outage was caused by a downed power line on Northpoint Drive, and said emergency power was immediately activated. Patients and essential functions of the hospital were never in danger, she said.
Power to the hospital has been restored.
