Kulp Wins Assembly Seat
Bob Kulp beat out two other men to fill the 69th Assembly District seat vacated by Scott Suder, receiving more than 67 percent of the vote in a special election Tuesday.
Kulp defeated Ken Slezak from Neillsville, and former Owen Mayor Tim Swiggum.
Suder vacated the seat after accepting a position with the Public Service Commission, but eventually turned that down in favor of a lobbying spot with the Wisconsin Paper Council.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Kulp takes 4,697 votes, Ken Slezak brings in 1,677 and Tim Swiggum received 607 votes.
