Letter: Group to Hold 3rd Annual Toy Exchange

To the Editor-

Many in our community will struggle to provide a gift to the children in their lives.  Central Wisconsin Holistic Families wants to make sure that families in need during the holiday season are not forgotten.

We are asking the community to support our 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Exchange.  This amazing event collects gently used toys from community members and invites local families to “Give what you can, take what you need.”  In exchange for a non-perishable food donation, families are invited to take donated toys/gifts, free of charge. The non-perishable food items will be given to the Place of Peace food pantry.

Take a look at the toys in your home and ask yourself: Are your kids no longer interested in them?  Do you need to make room for the new toys that the holidays will bring? Do you want to teach your kids a valuable lesson in giving? If so, bring your gently used baby, kid and teen items to the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum between 2pm and 6pm on Friday, December 13th.

If you are struggling to provide gifts to the children in your life,  come to the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum on Saturday, December 14th from 11am-2pm.  A non-perishable food donation will be used in exchange for the toys and gifts available.  Give what you can, take what you need.  Refreshments will be provided.

If you have questions regarding this event or would like to find out more about Central Wisconsin Holistic Families, find us on Facebook or contact Ali Konkel at 715-347-7441.

Thank you for your support.
