It is not every day that a concert offered free to the public generates funds. That’s exactly what the David Roth concert did based solely on generous gifts from the Stevens Point community and local businesses.

The David Roth concert, a gift to the community from Circle of Hope Bracelets, the Living with Cancer Support Group at Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital and the Circle of Hope Fund at Saint Michael’s Foundation, raised $1,333 dollars in donations from concert goers and local business sponsors including; Sentry Insurance, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Comfort Suites, Trig’s, The Store, Copps, and WSPT Radio.

The donations went toward the purchase of food and gas cards to help with financial assistance for patients undergoing cancer treatment at Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital.

David Roth was brought to the Stevens Point community by Circle of Hope Bracelets and the two women behind it, Sue Hall and Anne Swenson, whose work is about providing hope and support to others dealing with cancer.

“David Roth is an inspirational performer,” stated Sue Hall, Circle of Hope Bracelets and cancer survivor and awareness advocate. “We are happy to bring him and his message to others, but what is really inspiring is a community that gathers together to share a laugh and show their support for others.”

Through the sales of bracelets, Sue Hall and Anne Swenson have created the Circle of Hope Endowment Fund at Saint Michael’s Foundation.  The funds are used to enhance quality of life and provide education and support for patients at Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital and members of the Living with Cancer support group.

“Anne and Sue are true gifts to our community,” shared Angie Heuck, Saint Michael’s Foundation Director.  “They provide hope for cancer survivors and give of their time and talents in many, many areas. They are stellar examples of passionate people, giving back to our community and those in need.”
