Kevin J. McNamara, 48
Kevin J. McNamara, age 48, peacefully passed away on November 19 after a lifelong battle with diabetes. Kevin will be deeply missed by his best friend and loving wife, Erin (Sherlock), who he married on October 16, 1993. He was the proud son of Patricia McNamara and the late Patrick (Pop) McNamara.
Kevin was born in Stevens Point on the 31st of October and attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated in 1984 from Pacelli High School. He enjoyed playing football and sprinting on the high school track team. After graduation, Kevin attended and graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1991 with a degree in Health & Wellness with a focus on Exercise Physiology. He was thrilled with the opportunity to complete his health internship through Stanford University attending UCSF Hospital in San Francisco, CA. Kevin was passionate with this field of study after becoming ill during his college years and receiving a kidney transplant in 1989 from his brother, Dan.
After marrying his sweetheart Erin in Stevens Point, they moved to Green Bay where he was overjoyed to be living across the street from Lambeau Field. From there, they lived in Madison for 12 years before settling back in Green Bay this past year.
Kevin had a love of the “classics” including movies, cars, and historical documentaries and enjoyed his extensive music collection. He was an avid Packers fan and truly enjoyed the company of his Weimaraner dogs (Casper and Caley) and cat (Tica) a gift to Erin shortly after meeting her.
