Riverview Hospital Briefly Closes After Car Crashes into ER

The Wisconsin Rapids City-Times reports Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids closed for several hours on Saturday after a car crashed into its emergency room.
The driver, a man whose identity has not been released, drove into the building after losing control Riverview Expressway around 1:40 PM. The cause of the crash remains under investigation but may have been the result of a medical issue the driver was suffering.
The vehicle crashed through to the interior of the building and partially into a hallway between two exam rooms. Four were injured by debris from the crash, but hospital authorities say none of the injuries were serious.
Riverview Hospital officials closed the ER for several hours to ensure the building was structurally sound, and reopened Saturday night.
