The Stevens Point Plan Commission on Monday will consider approving a new student housing complex on Division Street.
Appleton- based company CCFS, which filed as an LLC with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions on November 20, is in charge of the project.
City leaders have been in talks with CCFS owner Scott Barr for about a month to negotiate the details of the proposed 182- bed apartment complex, which would be constructed at the current location of Point Motel, 209 Division Street.
The City Plan Commission will consider the proposal during its next meeting Dec. 2 at 6 PM at Lincoln Center, 1519 Water Street. The meeting is open to the public.
