Senator Vinehout Scheduled for Stevens Point Visit

Wisconsin Senator Kathleen Vinehout is coming to Stevens Point.
Vinehout, a Democrat, has not officially announced a run for governor but did confirm this week she has hired someone to organize a statewide campaign.
If she decides to run, Vinehout would be campaigning against Democratic contestant Mary Burke, who visited Stevens Point last month.
Gary Hawley, chairman of the Portage County Democratic Party, said Vinehout would be visiting the party’s Division Street headquarters the morning of Saturday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 AM.
“She’ll be milling around and visiting with everybody who comes,” Hawley said by phone Wednesday.
The Democratic Party of Portage County headquarters is located at 2220 Division Street. The event runs until noon.
