Walter A. Zelewski, 83 of Plover, died Friday December 13, 2013, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital. Walter was born on March 22, 1930, in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Frank & Ida (Karasinski) Zelewski.

He attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

His marriage to Beverly Barden took place on May 5, 1951, at St. Peters Catholic Church, after their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point for a number of years before moving to the Plover area. His wife Beverly died on January 10, 2013.

Walter was employed as a baker for Bakerite Banking Company for 36 years retiring in 1984.

He enjoyed bingo, traveling, gambling, talking on the telephone and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Barb (Carl) Bouslough of Newport Rhode Island, Robin (George) Woyak of Amherst and Dan (Romaine) Zelewski of Waupaca. Also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one brother Gregory (Janet) Zelewski of Brookfield.

He was preceded in death by four sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Whispering Pines Lodge Assisted Living for their kindness and wonderful care given to our father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center 2911 Plover Road Plover. Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating. Visitation on Monday from 9:30a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials in Walter’s name will be established at a later date.
