Wisconsin Dairy Farm Dropped by DiGiorno Pizza Over Evidence of Animal Abuse

DiGiorno Pizza will no longer use milk from one Wisconsin dairy farm for its pizza cheese.
The nation’s largest frozen pizza company, which is opened by Nestlé USA, has ordered its Wisconsin milk supplier not to accept any milk from Wiese Brothers Farm in Greenleaf following an undercover video that shows cruelty to cows.
The video was shot by the animal rights group Mercy for Animals and shows cows being kicked, beaten and stabbed.
“Nestlé is outraged and deeply saddened by the mistreatment of animals shown in this video,” the company said in a statement. “We buy cheese from Foremost Farms (of Baraboo) which gets milk from the Wiese Brothers’ Farm. However, we do expect all of our suppliers and their suppliers to meet our stringent guidelines. We have advised Foremost Farms that we will not accept any cheese made with milk from the Wiese Brothers’ Farm.”
The Wiese Brothers has said it fired two employees and removed a third employee from any animal duties as a result of the abuse.
