Conrad J. “Connie” Shulfer, 75

Conrad J. “Connie” Shulfer, age 75, of Fancher passed away December 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. Connie suffered complications after heart surgery on the 12 th of December.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Connie will be held Friday December 20, 2013 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. Revs. Jude Dioka and Robert Pedretti will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday before services at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.
Connie was born March 9, 1938 in Stockton, the son of Alois and Esther (Mrochinski) Shulfer. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1956.
Connie entered the United States Army in 1960, and served his country as a PVT SPC4. He served during the Berlin Crisis and was honorably
discharged in 1963. He settled in Milwaukee, and worked at Briggs & Stratton until his retirement in 1986. After retirement he moved to Fancher, and was active in numerous activities. He had a love and passion for fishing, hunting, bowling, and golf. He enjoyed rides on his Harley motorcycle, and his weekends in Park Falls. Connie was an avid splitter of firewood. He loved spending times with his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his two children: Mike Shulfer, Slinger, and Kim (Tim) Rymer, New Berlin. 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Ericka, Kayla, Jonathon, and Morgan. 2 sisters: Germaine (Cas) Trzbebiatowski, Stevens Point, and Marcy (Gene) Trzinski, Stevens Point. One brother Fred Shulfer, Amherst, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
