Deborah A. Zywicki, 59
Deborah A. Zywicki, 59, of Stevens Point, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
She was born on March 9, 1954, in Stevens Point, to Bernice (Greene) Zywicki and the late Lawrence “Shorty” Zywicki and was a 1974 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High.
Deborah had worked for Community Industries, was a housekeeper at the Stevens Point Care Center (formerly River Pines) and, most recently, had worked in the laundry department at the Portage County Health Care Center.
She was especially gifted in music, having taught herself how to play the organ; and also played the accordion and autoharp. She also enjoyed doing needlepoint.
Survivors include her mother, Bernice Zywicki; two sisters, Christine (Tim) Frank and Laurie (Dale) Aumann; four nieces, Rachel (Joe) Boehlen, Lindsey (Dillon) Probst, Natalie Aumann and Kelsey Aumann.
The family thanks the Ministry St. Michael’s Oncology Department, staff at Portage County Health Care Center and Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services for their care of Deborah.
A memorial in Deborah’s name will be established at a later date.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9 a.m. until the time for Mass. The rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.
