Updated: Great Lakes Call Center Brings Governor Walker to Point

Governor Scott Walker is coming to Stevens Point to help celebrate a new call center and the creation of 150 jobs.

Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates is holding a reception on Wednesday, Dec. 18 to celebrate the future opening of the its new call center in downtown Stevens Point. As the future home of the company’s new location is under construction the reception will be held inside the Portage Co. Annex, 1462 Strongs Ave. at 8:30 AM.

The previous time listed for this event was 3:30 PM but was changed Monday.

Guest speakers include Walker, Great Lakes President and CEO Richard George and Mayor Andrew Halverson. The public is welcome to attend.
