Dixie Lee Kiel, age 77 of Plover, passed away unexpectedly December 13, 2013 at her home.

A Celebration of Life service for Dixie will be held on December 29, 2013 at Springville Wharf in Plover from 11:00 to 3:00 PM.

Dixie was born February 20, 1936 in Plover the daughter of Leland and Genevieve “Jennie” (Dominick) Newby.  She grew up in Plover and attended
local Plover schools.  She married Herman Clifford Kiel on March 1, 1954 in Stevens Point.  The couple settled in Plover and raised a family.  Dixie was a proud mother and loved raising her family with Herman.  She enjoyed knitting, croqueting, and tatting.  Her companion dog “Misty” will miss her along with Dixie’s loving family.

She is survived by her two children:  Randy (Ellen) Kiel, Madison and Robin (Greg) Nowak, New Richmond, WI.  7 grandchildren: Andrea (Ken) Spring
TX, Natilee Adrian Roberts WI, Dustin (Melanie) Nowak, River Falls WI, Ashlee (Korey) Kuehn, Star Prarie WI.  Amanda (Chris) Perkins Fort
Drummond NY, Amy (Steve) Surrerrer, Madison WI, Kyle Kiel, Madison. 10 great grandchildren: Whitney, Olivia, Avery and Chloe Adrian; Rachel and
Ethan Nowak; Bailey and Keegan Kuehn, Ethan, and Evelyn Perkins.  Two sisters: Darlene (Leroy) Simonis, Plover and Judy (Ron) Sturm, Jct.
City.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Herman in 2011.
