James “Jim” Wilkinson, 84
James “Jim” Wilkinson age 84, of Stevens Point passed away Thursday December 19, 2013 at the Stevens Point Care Center after a long battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday December 23, 2013 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorials will be established in Jim’s name for Ministry Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
Jim was born January 2, 1929 in Maywood, IL, the son of William and Dorthea (Dyer) Wilkinson. He served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. Jim married Joyce Ann Niemczyk on September 3, 1951. He graduated from UWSP in 1952, and began his 44 year career as a Insurance Pension Specialist retiring in 1991.
Jim was very active in transporting people to various appointments, plus volunteering for Meals on Wheels for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joyce, and their 3 children: Cynthia (James) Kodel, Milwaukee; Debra (Todd) Chipman, West Bend; Michael Wilkinson, Fargo, ND. 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
