Point Man Faces Sex Assault Charges

A 23 year-old Stevens Point man faces up to 60 years in prison after admitting to a sexual relationship with a young girl.
Kyle McNabney has been charged with first degree sexual assault of a child, repeated sexual assault of a child as well as child enticement. Police say he admitted to having sexual contact with a 6 year-old girl between May and September.
The girl’s mother contacted police in October after the young girl said she’d been assaulted by McNabney in a tent in her backyard. Police also found nude photos of the girl on McNabney’s iPod.
McNabney is being held at Portage County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
