While schools have been called off Monday, the Stevens Point and Plover Boys & Girls Club locations, as well as the YMCA, will be open for area youths and families.
The Plover Club will be open 9 AM- 5 PM, and the downtown Teen Center will be open 12-6 PM and new members are welcome. Call the club at 341-4386 or visit its website if you have questions.
All programs are services will go on as scheduled at the YMCA, 1000 Division St., with the exception of 4-K and early childhood program.
“All our programs are still up and running except those held onsite at the schools- 4-K, early childhood or after school programs,” said Dave Morgan, executive director of the Stevens Point YMCA. “Of course, it’s up to the parents. Our biggest priority is for everyone to stay safe, and if the parents decide that means staying home, that’s what people need to do.”
The YMCA Activity Center will be open 9 AM on Monday. Morgan also said university programs held at the YMCA will be decided by UWSP and participants should contact their individual instructors for updates.
