Jeanne H. (Helen) Lodginski, 82 of the Town of Linwood, died early Thursday morning, January 9, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.

Jeanne was born May 17, 1931, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late John and Regina (Hoppa) Tork. She attended local grade schools, and graduated from Maria High School in 1949 as Valedictorian.

She then attended nursing school in Wausau, obtaining her RN. Her marriage to Clifford Lodginski took place on August 9, 1958, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband preceded her in death on October 25, 1994. Jeanne worked as an RN for Dr. Erickson for many years.

She also worked at St. Michael’s in the emergency room and River Pines Nursing Home as an RN until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, loved watching TV, especially game shows and soap operas. Survivors include two daughters: Donna (Don) Pagel of Stevens Point and Debra (Edward) Wojcik Jr. of Amherst Junction, WI.  Her two grandchildren: Jesse (Jodie) Wojcik and Nicole (Fiancé Alex Walloch) Wojcik. One brother: Frederick Tork of Sussex, WI, and Geraldine (Wallace) Olson of Rudolph.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bartholomew Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Tuesday morning at St. Bartholomew Church until the time for Mass.
