Mauston Man Announces Candidacy for Congress

Mauston City Council Member Ken Van Doren today announced his candidacy against Democratic Congressman Ron Kind.
Van Doren says his ideas are different from those of his opponent because he believes smaller government is the answer to Wisconsin’s problems.
Van Doren has worked as a building contractor and currently serves on the Mauston City Council. He is also an education coordinator for the Wisconsin Campaign for Liberty- a Tea Party organization which promotes free market economy ideas- and is an outspoken opponent of the Common Core education standards.
Van Doren is running as a Republican.
