Walter Boscamp was born in 1930, in Waukegan Illinois. In 1953 Pvt. Walter Boscamp married Eleanore Nelson, (who passed in 2011). In 1956, their first child, Cindy was born, (married to Dr. Wm. Seavecki DDS), followed by their son, Bert, in 1963. Later additions to his family include grandsons Dean Seavecki, (and his wife Emily), and Brent Seavecki.
Art has been the focal point of Walt’s life, whether working at Weber Tackle, Fey Publishing, Inc., or his own business Walt Boscamp Design, Inc. His artwork spanned from commercial art, commercial murals, oil paintings, casein and watercolor paintings, or his own very special Dot to Dot fine artworks. For many years, Walt taught art techniques at the Mid State Technical College, where he enjoyed helping others develop their artistic capabilities.
During his last eight years, Walt spent a great deal of time in the Saint Michael’s, Marshfield Clinic Oncology Department. The doctors, nurses and staff became a part of his extended family because of their special care and concern. Because of this department’s kindness, donations may be made to the Saint Michael’s Foundation Project Embrace™ Fund, which adds comfort for patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
