flagOrlo L. Clussman, age 72, of Stevens Point, died January 12, 2014 at St Joseph’s Hospital.

Orlo was born November 17, 1941 to the late Kenneth & Nellie (Phillips) Clussman in Stevens Point. He grew up here, attended the local grade school, and graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1959.

He was inducted into the US Army in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. During his time of service he met, and later, married Ursala Trautmann. They later divorced. He returned to Stevens Point and worked for Bake Rite for a year. He enlisted into the US Air Force in 1963. Orlo served 3 tours in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1974. After his time of service, Orlo relocated to Las Vegas from 1974 to 1988. He returned to Stevens Point where he worked as a bartender on the Stevens Point Square.

Orlo will be remembered for his social and generous nature. He was known to have his own bar stool at Rookies Sports Pub (just like the Character Norm in the TV series, Cheers). Orlo had the gift of gab, and enjoyed talking about sports and politics.

He is survived by his sons, Brian (Kathleen) Clussman of San Antonio, TX, Keith (Cindy) Clussman of Jacksonville, FL, and Chat (Karina) Clussman of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda), Misty, Ashton, and Penelope; great grandchild, Jayden. He is also survived by his siblings, Edward (Susan) Clussman of Stevens Point, Arlene (Bucky) Bucknell of Mosinee, Ronald Clussman of Wausau, and Penny (Randy) Stroik of McHenry, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; and sister-in-law, Barbara.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Olson officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Amherst Cemetery at a later date.
