Officials from the Village of Plover have declared a snow emergency.
The announcement comes today after a snow storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service. An estimated 5-9 inches of snow is expected by Tuesday night.
Village ordinance states that no person shall park, stop or leave standing any vehicle upon the streets or any portion of the streets whenever snow falls during any period of 24 hours or less and reaches a depth or conditions that constitute a serious public hazard impairing transportation and public health, safety and welfare.
Any vehicles parked on the road, or any portion of the road, will be towed away at the owner’s expense, along with a parking citation.
