Elderly Sex Offender Busted at Lincoln Center

A 75 year-old Stevens Point man is being charged with child pornography after he was caught viewing inappropriate images of children at a local senior center.
Gordon Miller, a convicted sex offender, faces one charge of possessing child pornography and 10 counts of possessing an image of a minor without their consent. Miller was caught Tuesday viewing photos of children wearing swimsuits by an employee of the Lincoln Center.
When police were contacted, Miller’s status as a sex offender was discovered and officers searched his home. Several flash drives and floppy disks with images of preteen children in swimsuits, as well as a photo of a naked teenager, were found. According to the criminal complaint, officers also found area youth sporting schedules, elementary school rosters as well as a 20 year-old student directory.
Miller was convicted in February of 2001 for possession of child pornography. He had recently been released of released from Sturtevant Transitional Facility, though when he relocated to Stevens Point was not immediately known. As a result of his previous conviction Miller must remain on the sex offender registry until 2036.
