Rodney Roy Peronto age 83 Stevens Point, formerly of Madison went home to heaven on January 18, 2014. 

Rod was born on July 29, 1930 in Crandon to parents Archie and Sadie Peronto as one of six children.  His only living sibling is Sue
Glidewell who currently resides in Illinois.

He was a graduate of Madison West High School and attended UW-Madison where he majored in philosophy, Rodney made Madison his home for over 70 years.  He proudly served in the military during the Korean War and then worked for Greyhound bus lines. Later, he drove truck for Capital Cartage.

He and Martha Jean Baumgartner joined in marriage on September 3, 1955.  She survives as does their children, Thomas (Jan) Peronto of Wisconsin Rapids and Julie (Dave) Hott of Oconomowoc.  Together they have five grandchildren, Brian, Kendall, Mariah, Matt and Miles.  They also have three great-grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the Shuda – Plover Funeral Home in Plover.
