Sue C. Maass a long time resident and proprietor of B & S Bar in Dancy, Wisconsin passed away on January 20, 2014, with her son, daughter, and daughter-in-law at her side at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau after an extended illness.
She was born to Eugene and Ruth Desautelle of Marquette, Michigan on January 16, 1941, which is where she met and married Robert “Bob” H. Maass in 1960.
The couple moved to Waukegan, Illinois where they lived a domestic life with their children.  In 1969 following their dreams to work for themselves, and escape the city, they moved to Dancy, Wisconsin. This is where they owned and operated the B & S Bar.  She and her husband operated the establishment until Bob’s passing in 1992. Sue continued running the business until 2013 when health issues forced her to close the bar.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson Joshua Aultman-Maass.
She is survived by her long time boyfriend Clifford Buelow of Dancy, Wisconsin, sons James Maass, Robert “Bob” (Mary) Maass of Stevens Point. Daughter Sandra (Rick) Buelow of Junction City, and a brother Terrance “Terry” Desautelle of Marquette, Michigan.  Grandchildren Sabrina (Joe) Kirkland, Christy (Jack) Nye, Alexandra and Hannah Buelow. Great grandchildren Kaitln, Mackenzie, Brandon, Kaleb, Ashey, Lisa, Lynn, and many nieces and nephews.
Sue was a very strong willed woman who knew what she wanted in life, and lived life to the fullest.  She was an avid dancer, who loved to travel and loved to party.  In her later years, she enjoyed bird watching and taking care of stray animals.  She will be missed by many!
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services.  At a later date, there will be a celebration of her life at the bar she owned.
