Letter: Global Warming Claims Rarely Based on Independent Research
To the Editor-
My disappointment is so regular it’s predictable.
There has to be a letter writing campaign going on trying to convince us all of the horrors of Global Warming. The latest tactic is to have UW professors write and/or comment on the subject. This is (supposedly) done to give the “warmists'” side credibility.
My disappointment comes when I see these “smart” people repeating the lie that 98 percent of all climate scientists agree that Global Warming is happening and the it’s mostly man made.
Has even ONE of them researched the study or where that number originated? Anyone?
I have. Time for some (soon to be ignored) truth.
It was a 2 question online survey by a couple of Illinois University “researchers”. They invited over 10,000 scientists in the field of climate to respond. After all was said and done, 77 climate scientists fully answered and of that, 75 of them answered yes.
So, ask you local UW expert how many climate scientists it takes to make a 98% consensus.
Now back to the regularly scheduled lies and ignorance.
